Bulk Mail Services can help by preparing your mailing to move faster and more efficiently through the USPS system.

Bulk Mail is the term applied to mailings of 200 pieces or more that are sent at a discounted rate, allowing The University of Arizona and departments to save a significant amount of money.

Mailings must meet a number of design and processing elements to qualify for bulk mail rates set forth by the USPS. Bulk Mail Services and the USPS can help you meet these requirements.

Bulk Mail Services is equipped with an Ink Jet system for addressing, barcoding and applying the Indicia directly onto newsletters, brochures, envelopes.

We use Bulk Mailer 5 for our Mail List Processing. This software is approved by the USPS to standardize and update your address list with the proper format and correct ZIP+4 information. Our software is updated bi-monthly to ensure accurate information.

Indicia Specifications

 

Permit 190 has been assigned to The University of Arizona (including the Health Science Center) by the United States Postal Service.

*Please note illustrations of indicias are for example only and are not meant as exact replicias.

 

Nonprofit

 

This indicia is a special Standard Bulk mail imprint with special limitations on its use. The mailing must be related to the mission of The University of Arizona and may not contain any advertising for any other company or organization. The University of Arizona must be spelled out on the top line of the return address. Only The University of Arizona logo may be used in the return address.

 

Presorted Standard  

The “Presorted Standard” may be used for mailings that do not meet the requirements for Nonprofit mail. These may be cooperative mailings with other companies and organizations and may have a return address and logo of another organization.

 

Presorted First-Class

This indicia may be used when First Class delivery service is desired and the mailing consists of 500 or more U.S. pieces. The result is a First Class Mailing at discounted rates. However the mailing list must be processed by Bulk Mail Services
